ugh...i'm really sick of this snow. it's pretty and all, but i hate having to drive in it. i went out this morning to take Jackson to the doctor and first i got stuck trying to leave my road. then i slid like crazy on interstate. then i get to the doctor's office & the damn parking lot wasn't even cleared. i park the car, get Jackson out, he's pissed because it's so cold. i walk into the building...the office is closed. AFTER i had already called that morning and the answering machine said they would open at ten due to inclement weather. it's now 10:30. so i wait a few minutes, to no avail, so i call the phone number again..."update: we are now closed". WTF are you kidding me? i had seriously JUST called an hour before. whatever. so i get back to the car, get Jackson inside...he's still pissed because it's cold. he doesn't wanna keep his coat on because "it's too tight" (it's clearly NOT). what a morning from hell. so we proceed to go to my mom's house. wtf was i thinking? i get stuck going up the hill. umm, yeah..stuck! i can't move. these two nice guys stop and help me. they literally PUSH my car up the hill. i couldn't have been more thankful to them. so i get to mom's road. i get stuck at the end of that. i back up and go forward for like ten minutes..finally get myself unstuck. then i get to my mom's driveway...FINALLY. yep, almost went into the ditch and got stuck. billy had to pull my car up the driveway with his truck. all i know is that i'm staying at my mom's til all this white shit is GONE.
jeff is out of town. on storm duty again. not sure when he'll be home. at least this time he's not THAT far from home (only about 2 hours instead of 4). another reason i'll be glad that winter is OVER. at least in the summer time he gets to work closer to home..still long hours, but it doesn't seem so bad when it's not that far away.
sooo...me and jack are gonna enjoy some time with nana & paw paw...maybe will get to go home or at least get out tomorrow. we'll see.
