day eleven: "the worst advice you've ever heard or been given"
i can't really pinpoint any EXACT advice that i've heard or been given but in general the worst advice ever always, always comes from people who have no children. seriously? who are you to tell me what to do with my child? and the stupid looks you give me in the grocery store, the mall, or anywhere...go to hell. how can someone who has never had experience with something be the bearer of that advice? i mean, really! it's funny that this is the blog post of the day because this morning i was in the store and this older woman came up to me and said: "you know, he is only acting that way because you aren't giving him the attention he wants"...and i nicely reply with: "oh...ok. do you have children of your own?" and she says "no, i never had children but i did work in a daycare for 12 years"...and i simply replied again with "oh, alright. well, my child gets plenty of attention and that's probably why he is acting the way that he is acting and hurting your ears with his elongated screaming because, for once, he did not get his way or get my undivided attention..BUT you should know that from working in a daycare, right?" and with that, i walked away.
i mean...honestly? the nerve of some people really get to me!
